Account Director

The Account Director will need a proven record of client satisfaction, marketing and management skills, achieved overall agency growth, and be an experienced and effective team leader.

The Account Director is a trusted advocate for our clients. You will serve as the liaison between the client and your team to coordinate campaigns and design requests as well as develop marketing/strategic plans that benefit the client and the agency. You must have a strategic mind to create new ideas and solutions to present to our clients.

Remote candidates with the ability to travel will also be considered.


  • Strategic point of contact for senior clients and establish strong relationships. 
  • Provide brand strategy to articulate the client’s objectives and needs. 
  • Lead client thinking and thinking on strategy development, providing targeted, actionable insights.
  • Generate strategic ideas and actions that produce tangible business results for our clients.
  • Take a leadership role in understanding and uncovering client motivations/needs.
  • Understand the business model and the key drivers of client and Agency success.
  • Maintain knowledge of all performance measures and financial figures.
  • Seek opportunities to advance the client relationship and build Agency business.
  • Advise senior client management and work as an objective insider and advocate for the entire client organization.
  • Generate ideas and actions that produce tangible results for the client while growing agency business.
  • Take a leadership role in understanding and uncovering client motivations/needs.
  • Understand all key Agency resources and bring them together to produce exceptional results for the client.
  • Inspire and motivate action across departments and disciplines; foster teamwork.
  • Build relationships of confidence and trust with all senior Agency staff.
  • Foster a productive and empowering working environment. 
  • Partner with Operations and Finance in determining growth goals. 
  • Determine the optimal staffing assignments for new initiatives.


  • You have ten plus years advertising agency experience and at least four in client services. Preference will be given to candidates from mid- to large-agencies.
  • Exceptional new business and client facing skills. 
  • Well-versed in all forms of media including direct mail, print, broadcast, non- traditional media, as well as interactive/online marketing programs that go beyond the scope of “media”, such as affiliate programs, direct e-mail and non-traditional buying practices. 
  • Skilled at senior-level client negotiation and management skills, with clear and substantive speaking, writing and presentation skills. 
  • Master’s Degree in a business related field is preferred.
