Front-end Developer

Mesh is looking for front-end developers who have experience building custom websites using platforms like Wordpress, Craft, Webflow and other open source CMS systems.

Front-end Development

• Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Creating user-friendly, accessible websites, applications and creative campaign platforms
• Creating and improving Wordpress websites
• Incorporating creative and interactive applications, graphics, audio and video into websites
• Testing websites for ease of use, speed and other quality factors
• Squashing any website issues or bugs that arise
• Working closely with a cross discipline team that doesn't put up walls
• Help projects managers to scope and plan a project by estimating the required time
• Communicate pro-actively with project and brand managers about progress and roadblocks
• Contribute to marketing and brand strategies from a interactive perspective
  

Teamwork

• Participate and occasionally lead brainstorming sessions with other team members in order to quickly determine strategy and direction for a website.
• Offer input and guidance to co-workers in a constructive, encouraging way.
• Be willing to teach or pass along knowledge to co-workers.

• Proven work experience as a Front-end developer
• Hands on experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SASS and jQuery
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
• Familiarity with web development architectures and server-side technology
• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging in tools like Browserstack or LamdaTest
• Sketch, Figma and/or Adobe XD handoff skills for digital production
• An strong understanding of layout aesthetics
• Knowledge of atomic design principles
• Knowledge of SEO principles
• An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Experience of working in creative and/or digital agencies
• Experience of working with both account and creative teams
• Successful track-record of managing multiple client assignments simultaneously

• You get extra credit for experience with Gulp, Git, WP Engine, Lottie, and Advanced Custom Fields
• Additional skills in digital prototyping tools like InVision, Zeplin is a plus
• Certified or experience in platforms like Google Analytics, Search Console, and Tag Manager.

• Candidate must be able to present valid U.S. Work Authorization documents
• Candidate must demonstrate verbal and written mastery of the English language
• Successful candidate may be required to attend in-person meetings with local clients (Louisiana or Georgia)
• If remote, quarterly travel to headquarters for group check ins
• Working hours are Central Standard Time
