Baton Rouge, La. (February 27, 2021)—MESH, an independent award-winning creative and strategic agency with locations throughout the South, earned top honors at the Baton Rouge American Advertising Awards “Intergalactic Drive-In” ceremony held on Saturday night at the L’auberge Casino & Hotel. The firm’s founder, Taylor Bennett, was recognized with the E.A. Pete Goldsby lifetime achievement award—the highest personal award presented by the American Advertising Federation–Baton Rouge to the person who has made the greatest overall contribution to the advertising profession. MESH also took home the show’s Overall Best of Show for its “Art of Upholstery” campaign with Gabby Furniture.
“It is truly an honor to be recognized with the E.A. Pete Golsby award,” said Taylor Bennett, Founder of MESH. “In addition to the many people who helped shape my path to where I am today, this award belongs to the 30+ talented individuals working at MESH. Without our team, I wouldn’t be worthy of this award. We have built longstanding relationships with amazing clients, partners, and most importantly, with the communities that we serve. Together, with the leadership at MESH, I look forward to continuing to build the best and most respected team throughout the South.”
In addition to the lifetime achievement award and Overall Best of Show, MESH received nine other gold and silver awards for work ranging from internet commercials to cinematography, art direction, sound design, and more. The annual awards competition celebrates Baton Rouge’s most talented marketing communications professionals. Highlights of the gold and silver awards won by MESH include:
"MESH was able to visually tell our brand story through the eye of the craftsman and designer—emphasizing what truly differentiates Gabby’s unique selection of curated home furnishings," said William White, President of Gabriella White and its home furnishings brands Summer Classics and Gabby. "They captured all the moments that go into the creation of a quality piece of made-to-order upholstery–from the design process to the attention to detail of the build. The MESH team made it effortless and brought to life everything that makes us unique and we couldn't be more thrilled for them to win top honors for their work."
